The Studio

Our studio at 19 Winter Street was built in 1930 in the craftsman style, and is located in the Powning Conservation District near downtown Reno. The exterior appears unaltered from that time based on our research. According to information from the Historic Reno Preservation Society, many Italian families settled in this area of Reno (called Powning's Addition) early in the 20th century. This property was in the Ginocchio family for decades. In 2006 we were awarded the City of Reno's Historic Preservation Award for a non-residential structure.

Our living room area is a comfortable place to relax and is an ideal setting to showcase our portraiture. Original features still in place are the period fireplace, front door and hardware, hardwood floors, radiators and most windows.

We have decorated in the style of the American Arts and Crafts movement of the early twentieth century.

These areas help our clients envision how portraits enhance the home setting.

Our covered front porch is also a nice place to spend time, and is an ideal setting for portraiture in inclement weather!

We offer both location and studio settings for your fine art portrait. Our studio facility in the rear of the building features the finest hand painted backgrounds available. The open cathedral ceiling creates a sense of space, and the props we keep on hand exude class and realism.

We are located just a short walk from the most attractive area of the Truckee River - the Riverside Drive corridor.

This is a wonderful place for portraiture any time of year, and it's only a half block away!
